FS: 1983 380SEL (SE Michigan)

1983 380SEL.

Engine has 137k on it. Dual row chain installed. New distro and plugs/wire.

Needs new brake and fuel lines, and some steering suspension work (will drive right now, for local pickup; the lines are "patched")

$750 O.B.O.

Bit more info:

-Car is located in Clinton Twp. MI
-Trans shifts perfect; car hauls ass
-New tires

-Interior/Exterior has wear (the thing you'd expect on a $750 car)
-New sound installed (.mp3/cd player and JBL GTO speakers)

A little bit of work and this car would be a perfect daily driver. The 3.8 isn't to bad of a fuel hog (compared to a 420, 500, or 560) and it gets around just fine. I just don't want this car sitting on my driveway when someone could be fixing and driving her (I'm pre-occupied with work and my diesel.)

I'll be taking some new pics tomorrow - Email me for the pics I currently have and to discuss the car.

Anyone?

not even any SL owners? It's got a solid engine, worth the money in itself. I know a few have had a single chain snap....

Brake lines

would they take the drive or are the suspect for blowing open on a panic stop? Does it leak gas through the lines?

Thanks
Jon

Front brakes show no signs of rust, rears have a few unions and new pipe on them. The resovior is seperated upfront, so if one line fails you'll still have pressure on the other. All brakes have been bleed and new dot4 fluid all around. (pressure bleed)

When I drove it up and down the street (no insurance or plates - it's as far as I would go) I did a couple of breif 40-0mph panic stops. stopped "on a dime"

Rear brake are completely new. the PO decided NOT to replace the rear pads (ever) so they were seized. New calipers, rotors, pad, soft and hard brakelines in the back. New Pads upfront (All, besides the rear pads; are OEM equipment textar/balo/ate)

I will be putting a new fuel hardline upfront sometime within the next week.
