FS 1992 300D Well maintained Car
I am selling my 1992 Mercedes 300 D 2.5 turbo diesel. A three owner car, I bought it from the owner who bought it almost new. He had all the records for service. I have kept the oil and filters changed and replaced parts as needed. This is the best car I ever owned. I just bought a nice 1995 Mercedes diesel to replace it. The evaporator has been replaced(8/2006), new alternator(7/2005), new radiator(6/2004), new rotors and front pads(3/2007), new pads rear(10/2006). This car gets 30 MPG suburban driving and 32 MPG highway driving. No oil is needed between changes. Air is blowing 38 degrees on a warm day. Everything works on car. The power antennae has been replaced with a stainless steel rod. Cruise works but surges sometimes on a downhill grade. Has the typical wear in the driver’s seat. Also there is a scratch on the left side from some guys who keyed my car when I got out and when into Autozone. Car has 277,000 miles. I love this car but found a newer one to replace it. No rust anywhere--always garaged. Freon is R134. It came from the factory that way. Never a complaint about 38 degree vent temps! Asking $4500.00. 502-266-9426.

Nobody wants it? How 'bout this one.
If no one wants my beloved '92 does anyone want a 1995 E300D? I listed it last week and changed my mind. Now no one wants a '92 in fabulous shape with lots of miles. The 1995 has 150K on the clock, new brakes yesterday, 38 degree air, nice interior and silver paint has glazed on the clear-coat. Car runs and drives as good as it looks. $7500
I guess gas must be coming down. I filled up for $2.65 a gallon yesterday! This car gets 34 MPG highway. |

I showed it to the wife, as she wants out of her '99 Toyota minivan {tired of minivans}, but she doesn't want anything older than her Toyota, and isn't too thrilled with Mercedes anyway. She compares all to my wagon, and hates it due to a "too firm" passenger seat. Heck, I figured her butt would make up for it...... Wait, was that out loud........ **could you post a pic of the scratch you are talking about. Close up also.... I'm still trying, although it will be tough to go from the most trouble free vehicle we've ever owned to another Mercedes, which never seem to be trouble free** ***looked like you had this one sole back in 2003..... FS 1992 300D Turbo Diesel

I sold the 190D 5 speed. Gave it away. 1600.00 for a 40 MPG car. That little sucker would really get up in the wind, too. I found this '92 300D and it was all over. Much more interior room, ride, comfort, ect.....

Ernie, What is nice about your car, besides how nice it looks, is how we can go back and read about the last few years of the car, and can tell what good of care you have taken of it. Between it's condition and that history, it should sell with ease, even though it has been down the road quite a bit. I'm just sick that my wife won't even consider it! In my opinion, our loss. I wish you the best, and thanks for the pics. Jimmy

Sold!
A man from St. Louis has already sent me a deposit for the car. He had been looking for several months for a well-serviced car. Thanks for the interest! Ernie in Louisville
