just saw a pristine 450 se '72 for sale on the side of the road
it's beige, 130k miles, very good interior (leather) very good paint still and original, no dents, starts right up, absolutely no rust. looks like garaged for years and years. I'm sure someone will love it. it's in the country; Smithville Tennessee... I wrote down the number. guy's asking $6000 but negotiates (I didn't speak to him, but to the owner of the shop where it sits) this car is definately worth good money IMO.

It must be the season for W116 cars, here's one in CT...
1978 MERCEDES 450 SEL Blue, 113K mi, leath int, p/moonroof, pdl, ps, air, 4 dr, 8 cyl, auto, cruise, This car sat for last 19 years in a garage, After adding fresh gas to empty tank and a battery it started up and was driven up and down the street, Body is in unbelievable condition, No rust at all, Chrome and stainless in great shape, Paint in remarkable condition, Engine sounds good and brakes all working, Fuel pump, $500 OBO. (203) 641-0406 (2X). Hamden, CT That ad came from Car Buyer's Market. Though I'd look under the car before believing the "no rust at all" statement. -CTH |
