Hello. I 'm looking for a 1985 300TDT. I hope to find something that could be driven as is, but needs a little help to be optimum as I can't spend alot of $. I need a wagon because I have 2 kids under 2 and need the room. I want to use this vehicle to eventually run on biodiesel that I plan on making.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1985 is a good year for that car. I have been very happy with mine for the most part. Took some $ to get it that way.

I am trying to locate the 3rd row seats and belts for it. My wife really doesn't want it unless it has the 3rd row seats to separate the kids. I am ordering a speedometer cable and brake pads for it this weekend. It starts and runs well. I would be looking for about $2700 for it. It's front seats are rough, but the rest is above average. If this sounds like it would work for you, let me know and I can email some pictures.

I live in PA and found a 1981 TDT in China Blue. I may have found my car. I would rather a 1985, but this is beautiful.

Also, "Diesel Donkey", check out ebay Item number: 190033966493
it is a third row seat for $350.00 that I came across in my routine searching.

I'll post what happens with this 1981.

Hello, I am just updating to say I passed on the 1981 300TD wagon because I am going to pick up my 1985 300TD wagon on Sunday! I will post how it goes. I am looking forward to the long drive home to get aquainted.

Hey donkey, if you don't find a used 3rd seat this company makes complete kits. The last time I checked they were in the $500+ range. All depends on your budget/time. I think I'm going to buy one in Sept/Oct because I really want that 3rd seat and don't have the time to scour the yards for one.

I just picked up an '85 wagon with the 3rd seat. The seat is black and seems to be in decent condition but may need some hardware as the bottom portion of the seat has become detached and comes right out of the car. I would be willing to sell it cheap as I have no use for it. I am leaving town in two weeks so if you are interested let me know soon and i'll give it a more thourough inspection or we'll have to wait until september when I get back.
