I wouldn't blame anyone for being leery of rust on a Michigan car but anyone who knows cars can plainley see by the condition of the paint and chrome that this one was never winter driven. None of the cars on e-bay boasted of records like I have. Although I am not much of a DIY I take some comfort in knowing I can get help from the great people on this site. After much thought I've decide to relax and quit reading so many horror stories on the diesel discussionand I will keep Lovey. After all what would I replace her with? I also take comfort in the fact that she is worth over twice of what I paid for her. I don't know how anyone could even buy a car on e-bay without driving it first. And btw this car has no rust

Thanks again Jim
Jim,
I live oin Michigan too and have had to battle rust. Maybe I didn't look anywhere but I didn't see any photos of the underside, you may have them or have taken them and if I didn't see them, that's my fault.

I have owned cars that had no rust underneath because of the care provided but these days everyone is skeptical.

Sorry

To all for this listing if it is not done in the right manner but to me it is very simple.
I don't care where you reside.
If you are interested in the car call me it IS for sale.
I will tell you about the car OR you could ask whunter about the car.
Based on your conversations with him or I you can make the decision if you want to see her.
I want to thank all the good members of this site for their help over the last 4 years it is much appreciated.
My part in this Internet soap opera is over.
Any further requests for pics or info can be sent to walleyedreaming@yahoo.com.
Oh and by the way the price is $4500 FIRM !!!

With all due respect to the good members of this site thanks again.......Jim

This car was kept so clean you could serve a meal on any part of it and not have any problem... even the bottom. The P.O. / seller was just a little meticulous. I've not seen another in that color.

Thanks pete

I love detailing so its easy for me to do a excellent job. I do go a little more in depth than most. It was great meeting you and attending the events with you guys, I really enjoyed it. I am sure you know the new owner, he is a great guy and I take comfort knowing she is better off with him than myself. He offered to let me see and drive her anytime but I would never impose. Only good Mercedes people operate in such a manner. He let me keep her until this afternoon so my wife and I can take our last Sunday cruise. I might have let her go a few hundred too cheap but the car really owes me nothing. It was a boon to me attending Roys Mercedes Technical Institute. Roy was always fair, honest and went the long ball with me. To me respect, honesty and dignity are very important so the car was sold in that manner. The new owner will probabley take possesion this afternoon, face to face and with a firm handshake.

Good luck to you and yours.....Jim
