I came across a 300E for what I believe to be a good price today, mileage unknown & sight unseen as of yet, but the owner claims it has an excelent 3.0 engine, great interior / exterior, & manual trans. What would be ball park if its truly what he says? And what should I be looking for when I go to look it over?

Mileage unknown and sight unseen, which means condition is unknown. So you have a 1986 300e with a manual - that's all that's it? It's not enough for guess, really.

Ok, ASSUMING condition is as he describes, and average mileage, I'm just looking for a reference ideal, before I go into town and look at it, What I'm getting at is, is the car really worth anything on the market, I'm not going to waste my time and resources buying something that has no value. (such as Ford Tempo, Chevy Citation type cars) Cars are typically a losing deal as is when you purchase them, I'm not wanting to go buy something and spend time fixing it up to find out I couldn't give it away kinda thing.
