1991 300E (Whole car or parts)

1991 300E (Whole car or parts). Gray exterior and gray interior.

1991 300E with 125k miles. Daughter hit the rear bumper of a van and caused the following damage:

Grill, front lights, radiator, hood, left front panel.

The car is still drivable but anti-freeze is leaking from the radiator. Other than the accident damage, the engine is strong and the transmission is good. Interior is in very good shape.

I would like to sell the whole car or parts. Best offers. If interested, I can take some pictures.

The car is in Big Rapids, MI.

I had a similar situation once... i sold off about 800 in parts.. grabbed a lot of stuff like relays for myself.. and then sold off a car with a great engine, transmission, and interior for 1300. a guy drove 700 miles to get it, loaded it on a flatbed, then turned around..

Have you sold the car yet. I have a 90, 300e and think most of the parts are interchangeable. What are you asking for it?

Yes, I still have the car. I used to own a 1990 as well. The 1991 and 1990 are identical except that the 19991 has 1st gear start and an additional panel on the trunk where the license plate mounts. Then the 1990 has the economy meter in the instrument cluster.

I have further assessed the damage. The fan clutch is broken (fluid leaked out). I have removed the fan so the car now runs without any noise.

I am asking $1200 for the car but have one deal pending. The guy came with a body shop friend to look at the car. Now he is looking for used parts to get the car fixed. The car has a Sony 10-CD/MP3 (with remote control) player installed and it can go with the car for an extra $50.

I also have lots of other related stuffs for W124. If any is of interest to you, please make an offer.

Complete W124 Chasis manual (2 thick volumes)
M103 Engine manual
Mercedes Maintenance manual (mostly for cars up to 1993)
W124 Owners Bibile
A car bra that was used only a couple times
Three extra sets of wheels. Two are Borbet 8-hole (made in Germany) and another set is Lorinser. The Lorinser set needs to be re-painted or re-finished but there is no structure damage. One of the Borbet set has new tires on (less than 1000 miles). They are BFG Premier Touring from Costco (costs about $70 each)
New parts sitting in my garage include: rear brake rotors, rear brake pads, parking brake kit, door checks (2), rear sway bar links (2), front brake hardware (2, pin bolts, etc.), about 12 OEM oil filters, Bosch fuel filter, transmission filter and pan gasket, a pair of 9004 headlight bulbs, etc.

Thanks,

remotemark and patc:

Thank you for your interest. The manual are part of the pending deal right now. If my neighbor buys the car, he will also buy the manuals.

I will keep you updated.
