78 240D 4 Speed for sale
I drove the car for five years. Great car, but I got sick of the lack of power. It sat for almost two years. A friend ended up without a car so I told her she could have the 240. After charging the battery it started up like it had only been left overnight. Great old cars. She had never mastered a stick, so I had to teach her. After a few laps around the neighborhood she seemed to be doing well. She was having a little trouble but I thought she would get better after time. Wrong! After just three months she burned the clutch. I was going to replace the clutch but after thinking about it I don't see the point. $400 is a lot to pay considering she thinks it will just end up in the same result. So it is for sale. Engine runs great. Odometer reads 191000 but there is a sticker on the door that says it was replaced at 99000. A little rust in the usual spots. Interior is alright. Not great. Basically everything is good except the transmission and the front end. Drives staight but is a little sloppy. It is located in Oroville Ca. 25 minutes south of Chico. It needs to be to towed. not drivable. $500 OBO. If interested I will send pictures.
