You said $1900 correct ?

For a Running W124 diesel (read- smokes them on accel if you try...), with functioning A/C ?

What is this world coming to ? Where are all the WVO freaks ?

Don't make me come down there and buy it myself =)
(and strip off the body kit... =)

not to mention if those wheels are straight and clean they're worth at least a grand.

Thanks,

But no thanks. I am going to purchase either another '87 300D or quite possibly an 81 300D (low miles). If I purchase the '87 then the '87 I am trying to sell will be off the market and I will be using it for parts should the new '87 ever need them. Besides, I have an '87 300SDL (immaculate) but one day it might need a part or two. Wouldn't be bad to have a parts car sitting around.

I will be purchasing another '87 300D tomorrow and will be swapping the wheels and tires from the '87 that is for sale to go on the '87 I am purchasing. Therefore, I am lowering the price on the '87 that I have listed in this post. The car will have stock '87 MB wheels and good tires. I will sell the car for $1500.

I have flushed the coolant system several times with a chemical flush and filled the system with Zerex G-05 antifreeze (50/50). I have seen an improvement in the cooling performance. Now the car will not go above 100C idling with the A/C on but it still runs on the highway at 95C to 98C with or without the A/C. There is no coolant loss and still no pressure in the system after an overnight sitting.

Feel free to call the number that is listed.

Kevin

Update!!!

Found the "running warm" problem!

I needed the oil/temp/fuel cluster out of the FS '87 300D to fix an idiot light problem on the newly acquired '87 300D and guess what? The newly acquired 300D now runs warmer than it should. Strangely enough it runs the same temps that the fs 300D did. Hmmm? Wonder why? Can you say "faulty gauge"?

Out with the idiot light bulb and re-install the original cluster.

Kevin
