1987 300D Turbo FS

Fair shape. Runs good. Owned for three weeks. I am the third owner.
Odometer broken at 140K.

Blue exterior is tired and there are a few wrinkles. Ground effects and rear spoiler! Woo-who! Right side headlight door is broken and mostly missing. The car tracks straight and handles very well but there is a bad control arm on the left rear. The car will "wiggle" when shifting in and out of "passing gear".

The tan interior is also tired. The sunroof does not function. The driver's seat functions but ONLY when door is opened. The passenger seat will function with power applied directly to the seat motors. I assume the switch itself is faulty. The E-flasher switch is broken internally so the e-flashers do not function. The sunvisors are missing. Interior light functions by it's own switch but not when the door opens regardless of switch setting. Rear seat light functions normally.

New battery. New tires. Car has BBS wheels

A/C functioning but not 100%. Aux fan switch at receiver/dryer is faulty but fan DOES work but comes on when ignition switch is engaged. The aux. fan high speed switch is faulty as well. It does not come on when temps reach the cut in point. When the wires to the switch are shorted together then the fan operates at high speed.

New coolant expansion tank & radiator cap. Old cap was bad and mouth of tank had separated from the tank and would turn with the cap therefore not allowing the system to pressurize properly. The car has not overheated since I have owned it but I have only owned it for three weeks. This car sat from 1997 to the present. The PO owned it from '94 and parked it when he purchased his wife a '97 Ford expedition. That's his story. What records I have do support this. I have seen it reach 110 once and thats when I discovered the high speed fan switch was faulty. When it reached 110 the ambient temp was 96 degrees with the A/C functioning and I was running the car very hard to test it's engine cooling abilities. I did not allow the engine to go beyond the 110 point. As soon as I shorted the wires for the high speed switch the engine temp went down quickly. Before I let the car go I will have removed the radiator and have cleaned the cooling fins to ensure that proper airflow is being achieved. In high ambient temps the engine runs @90C to 100C with the A/C functioning. At idle it will rise to 105C and stay until the car gets to moving again. Without the A/C functioning the car will get to 95C when pushed hard. Again, this is in high ambient temps such as mid to high
90's. THERE IS NO PRESSURE IN THE SYSTEM OVERNIGHT! NO OIL VISIBLE IN THE COOLANT! NO WHITE SMOKE!

New fuel filters. New delivery valve seals and crush washers installed in the IP.

I am not a MB mechanic but feel free to ask any questions. If I know the answer then great. Anyone interested in this car is welcomed to come inspect and test drive. Feel free to take it to a mechanic and have it looked over.

Pictures will be posted later this eveing.

I will not take any less than $1900 for the car. This price is not negotiable. If you want to "haggle" so you can feel like you got a better deal
then the price is $3500. Feel free to talk me down another $1600

Nope!

Not even $1899.99! I would consider trading for "like" condition 240D.

Somebody really, really, really needs to grab this for the drivetrain and put it in a 123 or 126 if nothing else.

Wish I had the time.
