FS $5,500. If you are a fan of 116 double chrome bumpers.........

Red '79 300SD off white leather interior
Interior, and wood is in excellent condition
91,100 original miles - well maintained & clean
Everything works....( AFAIK ) .....
No Rust anywhere I am aware of in - under - or around....
Located in west Boca Raton, Florida- (40 miles no. of Miami)

I am selling because I have also an '81 SD in really nice condition which my 18 yr old is keeping, & an '82 300CD that I am customizing into a 4 speed that will be my Daily driver.
I recently bought all 3 deep down knowing I would have to sell 1 of these 3 & it is the '79.
I have no room and also no need for a 3rd car to be insured etc....
This SD does have some minor body work to be done. The passenger rear door has minor dent that can be repaired & rear bumper is dented and could be repaired or replaced. No Chasis damage from either of these.

I have recent receipts for maintenence from an MB indy expert.....I don't recall them all off hand but will be able to post or reply with recent repairs.
ie: sunroof repaired new cable & MB grease- All motor & air cleaner mounts- new tie rods - Having rebuilt steering box done this week - all suspension will then be in excellent condition - has 4 nice matching Michelins - new glow plugs - new vacuum booster pump - new OE horns- some more on request....

This is the rear bumper ding/ dent. Not bad & doesn't effect the trunk of chassis....Still looks like a cool 300SD Turbo Diesel...........

All the vacuum system is in excellent shape..........

How about a picture of the dent in the door?

I can't see the upside of taking photos of your car for sale with those big dogs sitting in it...it tells me the seat covers are probably scratched up and there's probably hair everywhere...my advice would be this is not something that is a "selling point". Remember that not everyone loves dogs...if you really want to feature your dogs in the ad, then maybe they should sit next to the car...just a little free marketing advice.

For all who are concerned about this dog issue; there are absolutely no scratch marks or dog remains anywhere in the car; no damage to any interior due to dogs or people.....No dog hair; or dog treats......Not even dog wet nose spots on the windows............They also have rarely been inside this car, as it is not a daily driver.

I don't have a door picture, but I should have it back from the shop on Friday night from replacing the steering box and having the allignment done.

Wow. You bookmarked my old ebay listing.

I was not 100% ready to sell then. It was the week they had a $1.00 special to list cars.

I did replace the broken antenna mast since so thanks...........

I'd be interested in it...would also like to see the damaged door...also would like to see photos around the jack holes, bottoms of the doors and complete interior...

In the ebay listing you discuss a recent engine rebuild...that is not mentioned now...but this is the same car, right?

is there documentation to support the mileage claim?

All the jack holes are rust free.......

The wheel wells are also rust free-(there is overspray in wheel wells...)

Sunroof now slides open& closed like new!!

Back seat is a 9 out of 10, but at least my son doesn't litter water bottles out the windows............

SOLD... to a real nice girl in North Carolina.

She called off the Craigslist ad ( same words as this post ) .

She was a Volvo girl, and said this is exactly the car she has been looking for.

I had just taken a 350 mile RT last weekend to Orlando and back and this old car is fun to drive.....
