The turbo was made '87 only, says "2.5 Turbo" on the right side of the trunk, and has vents in the fender behind the turnsignal.

The 2.5 NA isn't bad, with the turbo it is quite quick.

Also, this thread is NOT about the value of an MB as you said above, but rather, the value of a 190D 2.5 Turbo (name of the thread). As courtesy to other members, I thought I would post a congratulatory note on Drsquash's behalf AND answer the original inquiry of what the value of a 190D 2.5 Turbo is by sharing the actual, recent sale price of that very model with the members of this community
Glad it sold. But here's what I read as the original post:

value of 190D 2.5 turbo
A friend of mine is the original owner of a Smoke Silver 190D 2.5 turbo, and was curious as to its current value. It has 97K miles, has been garaged since new, never wrecked, and not driven in bad weather. It has always received scheduled maintenance, everything works, and the ACC is still using R-12. The car literally looks like it's one year old. Any ideas?

That meant to me he was looking at the values of a Mercedes Benz. Did it mean something different to you? Would you like to respond at all to the other points in my previous post?

Well, to me, this means exactly what it says -- having nothing to do with posts about 1982 wagons (or any other model for that matter). While I think the points you raised about your personal experiences with buying and selling different models has merit, it was really irrelevant. I also thought the comment about "getting another teacher" was a little unnecessary.

We are talking about some of the issues that determine the value of 20 year old MB diesel and I used examples of some 23 and 25 year old MB diesels. Take a pill and unbunch your undies. In a discussion about 1991 to 1978 MB diesels regardless of model you'll have a group saying some examples would be worth sky high prices; and another group which would say the value is much lower- and both groups will cite examples. No matter what the model, there are many, many issues that are cross-model relevant.
