1984 300SD Brown exterior, Tan interior. 292K showing. Runs very well and strong, I can't say as much for it cosmetically though, the pictures speak for themselves. I put an oil cooler in it, fixed the radiator, changed the coolant and fixed the dash lights.

I bought the car sight unseen. It doesn't look as bad as the pics as it sat for a while and at least needs a wash. We could slap a Maaco paint job on it, put it on ebay and mention veggy oil and sell it for $6000! If you look at it that way, $1000 is a steal!

I would say that car is pushing 590000 miles, the speedometer must of broke at some point.

To paint and make look like a 6000 car you need to put 8000 into it.

No use trashing the car for sale here. It was posted very accurately, and they have a good grip on what they are selling. Why would you pick apart a running $1000 car. It looks a rough because it's a freakin thousand dollar car! Duh.....
Heck, even the tach works.....

Kevin/John, any idea why it won't pass inspection besides the exhaust? Or have you just not taken it in? Trying to find the money is like milking a bull at this point, but I'm still trying.

The guy I bought it from said it did pass the last time he took it. We haven't tried to take it. For some reason, John wants it gone. I think it adds a little class to his collection.

It looks like the oil cap is leaking. Is that a pretty common problem? I'm waiting for a new one to come in the mail for mine. The one I have now looks like it's okay and it seems to fit tight, but it still leaks.
