2005 s500 coming off lease

My lease is about to expire,MB lowered the purchase price to 39k.The car is in excellent condition,no accidents and has 34k miles and warentee untill 12/08. Does this seem like a good/fair price? btw i recently had it serviced @MB,they said i need front tires and brakes.Other than that its fine. Thanks

It all depends where you live, some states ,like IL,for example, practice double taxation, one time for the new value when you lease the car, second time on the residual value when you purchase the car from the leasing institution,so,it is not worth it in any circumstance...unless you have some sort of personal relation with the car.

Unless it's a 4matic and/or loaded-out with Comfort Seats, AMG pkg., Parktronic, Distronic, Pwr Rear Seats, Rear A/C etc. It's not an outstanding deal.

That Price is on the HIGH end ...IF you want to keep it Im Sure MB will Lower the price as

1 MB does NOT want the car back..to recon it and try to resell it

2 The Auctions are FLOODED with High End cars...Do a search on the prices..

I have had good results with MB on the buy as IF you have the hard facts..They WILL Lower the price!

Been Checking to see what a "fair price" would be.At most MB dealer that are asking 45-50k, on ebay they are close to 35-40 but not knowing anything about the car or seller.I think I might offer 35k and see what they say.
