Kids, or someone in another country, or both. Had the same problem with my last sale on e-bay. The person who ended up winning thought it was me upping the bids. I was telling my brother about it and he told me don't worry, if it's a no good bidder, e-bay will re-list it for you. If you get paid for it and they are paying for shipping etc. you're not out anything.

It's a new ebayer, and it looks like they're trying to find your reserve. Too rich for my blood. I've already got another car...or two in my sights.

Just saw your feedback rating... After this auction is over, I'd suggest closing your ebay account and starting a new one. With your low point rating, It'd be best just to start over at zero.

Look at the dates of the bids. A***e bid $2k on the 8th, and h***e was trying to beat that bid, but did it a little bit at a time. Proxy bidding at work. h***e just got excited and wanted to be "high bidder," so he kept taking stabs at it. Very common.

He could probably build on that one and get the feedback rating patched up, but he could also keep that one for buying and start a new one for selling. Lots of folks do it that way, though I believe it's a no-no in eBay's eyes (I wouldn't know -- I just use one account and have had very good luck on eBay).

That's true. He appears to have run into a few bad sellers right from the start. I have been quite lucky until a guy I sold my Tahoe tried to scam me for about $2k back. Then another guy claimed I sold him junk...but when I offered a refund if he sent it back, claimed to have "thrown it away."

I heard there is a way to have bad feedback that is not warranted to be removed by Ebay.

I don't know how but someone mentioned it here once..........

Bidding is finally moving again..............2000 more to go for a sale.........

It didn't sell, and now I htink I am going to follow through on the conversion to the 4 speed.

It is wacky to sell this car and get 6,000 less than I have into it.

Either tomorrow or Tuesday I take it Kastner Car Care with the 240 stuff and ask them to give me an estimate......

If all goes OK as planned, then I pick up a nice pair of sheepskin seatcovers for the fronts, and search for the elusive W123 BLUE dash.........( No Covers please don't suggest one..)

I've sent a dash or two in the mail.. it was for a japanese car but it was easy non the less..

bubble wrap and cardboard all around... copious amounts of tape and it was off to wherever.. One came to me via fedex ground ... it helps to have an account with them since they give discounts
