1984 300 D Body for sale

I picked this car up in Nashville about a year ago. I drove it just a little and the transmission went out. Then last fall I pulled the engine and transmission, then I sold the engine. So here is what I have. A very fine totally rust free 1984 W123. I have been all over this car and rust just does not exist on it anywhere. It is beautiful. Now it does have some stone chips on the front of the fenders and to make it really nice the hood and front fenders should be repainted. However, it is very presentable as it is. It is a gold metallic exterior with the saddle interior. The drivers front seat cover and the center arm rest show a lot of "sunburn" Also, the windlace around the doors, it is a fabric and it has deteriorated also, to much southern sun. It has the triangle mounted in the trunk. Tires have a lot of tread, but are hard and dry also. The console wood trim is in pretty bad shape, but i have some good pieces from an 83 which I would furnish. The dash has only only one crack about an inch on the left side. Glass is perfect, power windows work great. The rest of the saddle interior is great, headliner, sun visors, door panels all look very good. Chassis is as follows. I replaced both rear half shafts with guaranteed for life from "Advantage" and will pass the warranty on to you. Differential has new synthetic gear lube. The drive line is done. New flex joints, new carrier bearing and mount. And a brand new battery. The car drove very well, but a bit stiffer then my 85. I suspect it has HD shocks on the front. Possibly a new coil spring set also, because with engine in it, it set about an inch higher then the 85. The front end does need some work. If I do keep the car, I probably will do all the ball joints and bushings and control arms. Both front calipers are leaking also. I would sell the car as it is now for $1000.00. That would include the transmission and converter from the 83. My plan was to retire my 85 because it has some rust issues. But I am short of space, getting older and my health the past few months not really great. But I really like a beautiful W123, and between the two I have all that is necessary. But I will be 76 shortly, and just don't really have the energy for that heavy work. So, if you have a rust bucket that runs good, here is the perfect parts set up for you. It is nice and bright out today, though a bit cold, but I will go out and take some pictures. If you are interested, just PM me and and I will send you pictures. No, it doesn't run and Yes, and it does have a good clear title.
