$3000 Located in Brimfield, Massachusetts.
188,000 miles. White with blue MB Tex interior. No tears in upholstery ecxept 1/2 inch by 1 inch tear in headliner in center of sunroof headliner, toward rear edge. Car has new injection pump, vacuum pump, injector lines, bosio injector nozzles, front wheel bearings, new brakes (pads and rotors all around, new calipers in rear, new rear ebrake cables), new steering stabilizer, tranny cooler lines, various switches and sensors, new a/c parts, new climate control blower, new (rebuilt with 3yr warranty climate control pushbutton unit), new aux water pump, partially new exhaust, new headlight surrounds, new voltage regulator, and more. Comes with some new and used replacement/spare parts. Oil changed every 3k miles since I bought it at 162k miles. Uses no oil between changes. I have used castrol tection and mobil delvac oil. Car exhibits no blow-by. You can loosen the oil filler cap and let the car idle and that cap sits dead still. Yes, this car has the #14 head but I have no oil in the water or vice versa, no lingering pressure in the radiator expansion tank, and I have tested the expansion tank with a chemical test which sniffs for combustion gases escaping into the expansion tank. Test showed no signs of leakage. These cars seem to get a bad rap for cracked heads IMHO. I think the heads only crack if the car is abused by letting it run too hot. This car runs at about 100 deg C in the summer with the a/c on and driving stop and go. Comes with factory service manuals. Runs very well. Sometimes downshifts a bit hard from 4th to 3rd if you accelerate hard after coasting down from high speed. I have replaced the tranny filter and done the K-1 spring kit and new fluid. I have changed the power steering fluid and filter and the rear end gear lube, zerex g-5 in the radiator, new brake fluid. A/C works awesome, but low pressure switch is bypassed right now, I have the replacement part. Slight rust bubbling on right front fender about 1 inch by 2 inches and under edge of rear wheel wells, about 1 inch square on each side. Needs rear axle subframe mounts replaced (rubber mounts, fairly simple job). I no longer have time for the car. The pictures will show the dash is cracked. One side of the car was repainted recently and is more off white than the other side. The original becker radio worked until I disconnected the battery to work on the car and the radio alarm activated. Needs to be reset with an mb black box. So it's not going to win any car shows, but it's mechanically a solid unit with a lot of life left in it. I have done the hard work, you enjoy the fruits. The more I write this the less I want to sell it, especially since I paid $4500 and then dumped in another $4000 in parts and supplies. Oh, well. Great car. If one of you forum guys gets it I know it will go to a good home. I don't know how to post photos, but if you email me I will send you a slew of photos.
