WTB-diesel antique van

I'm after a MB diesel van. Round style with windows. Not a sprinter that cost the same as my house.(when I bought it). I've seen some around years ago. I think they had a 240 d lump in them. Any leads would be appreciated. Anyone know the designation ? I know there's a 0 in the model like 406 or such.
Thanks. I'm in NY.

you just missed one in Ohio a few weeks back that sold on ebay for about 750$.
One of the guys here sold a bus a few weeks back, but it needed a huge amount of work. There was a similar bus in San Diego last month.

Ali Abassi sent me a craig's list post for an O407 down in Austin or so. They wanted something like 17,000$. Which is too high.

In terms of models, there were the O319, O309, O407. Some are diesels, some are gas. The Diesels have the traditional D at the end.

CTH,
you have mail. Attached is a pic of what I'm after with a Diesel drive and more windows if possible.

That would look awesome pulling an airstream.

Chad,
I think that the benz van would look great parked in front of an Airstream. With it's 240d
lump, it can barely pull itself. Maybe with a 300 turbo?
I spoke to the seller tonite. He's got lots of spares and knowledge of these monsters as an owner for 10 years. Thanks for the link.

Actually, the vans should have an OM314, which is a very solid deisel, but the way it's geared, you'd be lucky to hit 65. However, whatever speed you do hit, it will stay there just about forever and pull anything along the way.

If you want something a bit quicker, go for the 407 model, which is more recent, less antiquated, but completely functional. Now, if I could only remember Richard in Queen's contact info I could introduce you to one.

There's one down the road from me, but I'm not sure the guy is going to sell.
Here's the link with the pic. Mercedes Bus ID anyone?
