This is the 560SEC AMG invoice I was talking about - crazy!
You can't make this stuff up. I owned this car for about six months, before I appreciated how rare all this stuff is now and how well this particula car ran with 325HP.

$43K for the engine, $7K for the install, they rounded the price of the SEC up to a nice even $80K (sticker was less than that in 1989), and they double dipped on some of the install charges. Not to mention the German-to-English spelling of the "6.0 litre engine 'conversation' ".
What's even funnier is that if you find one of the guys with new 6.0 DOHC motors like Barry or Eddie today, they still want the same $43K for it that AMG wanted back in the day. Here are pics of my 6.0 DOHC 560SEL, the widebody I almost bought, and the white 560SEC that is the car listed in the above invoices. Enjoy! Bruce

I think Brian had pretty much forsaken this forum. I never see him here anymore. That's to bad. He sure loves his SEC. He's liable to wear it out taking it apart and putting it back together again.
