Seeking: 300e, running or not, sub $1000 NY/NJ/CT
Hello everybody,
I'm looking for a Mercedes 300e project car for less than $1000. All I ask is that the car has a title, the interior is in good shape, and the exterior isn't banged up (the condition of the paint is not an issue, small dings are ok, but no big dents or signs of collision). I would prefer that the car is in the tristate area; NY/NJ/CT or somewhere close. This would be a big help, I want to start an awesome project. Please help! Thanks! 300e
I am going to post this now;
1989 300E, 206k miles, $1200, lower Westchester, Desert Taupe /crème beige MB tex interior. The Good News; I work at a Mercedes dealership and this is my daily driver, my only car. The car runs perfectly, very solid. I come over the Tappan Zee Bridge at 75mph, driving with one hand. The car has the original books and window sticker, radio and a high mileage (200KM) badge. I maintain the car, keeping it safe for me and my family, and in the last 2 years have done at least the following; shocks and brakes at all 4 corners, 4 suspensions links in the rear suspension, idler arm with bushing and tie-rods in the front; belt tensioner, front speakers, (and probably more); Just did a wheel alignment, and the car tracks straight and true. The Bad News; Cracked windshield, Trans fluid drip/leak where the cooling tubes enter the radiator (no co-mingling of fluids, external leak), paint is shot (clear coat burning off on the horizontal surfaces), hood ornament ripped off, door dings. You get 4 very serviceable, but mismatched tires (unless you wish to buy the 4 new Blizzaks currently on the car for $300 extra). I live near Montvale, NJ and work in lower Westchester. Please don’t call me if you intend to buy the car for anything less than $1200. You will be wasting our time. This is a going machine, and obviously not a new, nor mint, car, but it is a strong daily driver that I enjoy driving. An opportunity to buy a wagon prompts this move. Cell 845 596 8800.w; |
