Need to sell my W124 wagon. I bought it last August as a winter vehicle, only to find that the seller had lied (rather emphatically!) about the 4wd working. It does not engage, and the problem has not been diagnosed.

This is a good-looking, smooth driving car with 204K miles and some issues. Although it runs strong and does not smoke, it is consuming considerable oil; a mechanic has told me it's leaking from the head gasket. The air pump is noisy; he tells me it needs to be replaced or bypassed. The A/C, cruise and radio are not working; the power seat, windows, locks and sunroof all do work. New: 2 tires, serpentine belt, battery, OVP relay, hatch struts.

I'm a Mercedes neophyte and not ready for a project. Strongly motivated to sell quickly, whatever the loss, as we're looking to move. Asking $1400 obo. I'd be happy to answer questions or provide more photos to anyone interested.

Location is NC mountains (near TN & VA).

Gone to the dark side

The interior is gray MB Tex, mostly in good shape with the exceptions of dirty carpet, discolored driver's seat bottom, badly worn vinyl on the fold-down front center armrest, and cracking finish on the console wood trim. The passenger and rear seat are in very good to excellent condition, as is the 3rd seat.

The seats are not heated and, I assume, not the ortho seats. I'm attaching several photos of the interior. Hope this helps.
