What makes you think it's not an original 190Dturbo?

Instead of arguing about previous posters semantics, it would be easier to just look at the ad and see that it is a 1987 Mercedes Benz 190 D "T". It appears that the owner is unaware of what the "T" designation is (he/she makes no designation of the car being a wagon). Simple mistake. Another reason to put pictures on Craigslist.

Many many people mistakenly put a "T" on the end and thus confuse others into thinking it a wagon. This person made it clear however:
"1987 Mercedes Benz 190 DT (Turbo Diesel),..." Nowhere does it say wagon in the ad. The 190 had three diesels; the 2.2, the 2.5 and the 2.5 turbo. On top of that, if it were a wagon, it would be called a 190TD, not a 190DT. |

If you scroll up to post #1, Jkoebel's title says FS: 1987 Mercedes 190DT Diesel W124 Wagon
So I read that and thought to my self, that must be an interesting car, a 190 and a 124. I didn't even bother to look at the ad until after. Like I said, the guy who posted the ad has it right. He has a DT like he says, not a TD or TDT which didn't exist in a 190. I hope that clears it up.

Hey, don't look at me funny. I go by the badge on the back of my car. Show me one that says DT or TDT or whatever and I'll eat my words .
I'll let the huge "DIESEL" or "TURBODIESEL" speak for itself. I always thought the D"T" or Dt (etc) was informal. Can we say that we've agreed that this car is a 1987 W201 sedan with a 2.5 liter inline-5 turbodiesel engine?
