interesting van. but what is seller trying to say "has to be equipped with restraining system" - meaning its not registered yet? It has plates, so I don't think that is the case.
I could use a van , a diesel w/ 5-speed would be nice too, but I don't want anything that is going to need hard to get parts!
My friends with VW diesels have had to buy lots of electrical stuff, modules, relays, switches they seem to break frequently
My brothers TDI needed a new camshaft, it wore the lobes down within a year after he bought it (OK, it was a used car and no one knew what the PO did for oil changes)

I see seatbelts so that's not it. Maybe it doesn't have airbags so it needs those stupid motorized belts. Maybe that year model needs a divider between the cockpit and the cargo area.

All that rust concerns me more than parts availability
