FS: 1983 300D 43K original miles

Due to a pending move I have decided to pair down my diesel collection by selling my 1983 300D sedan. This vehicle is as close to showroom new as you will find in the market today. This car has always been garaged and I have every service record since it was delivered new. It has 44,321 original miles on the odometer and the documentation to support it. I have owned 14 model 123 240D/300ds over the years and this is by far the finest original condition example. I am the second owner and I purchased the vehicle from an MB dealer/collector in 2001. I have all the original service records/books owner plates. Upon purchase I completed a extensive baseline service including the following @ MBS Motors (Atlanta, Ga)

Replaced engine mounts
New A/C system with original R4 freon
replaced dryer, O rings,ac line seals, trinary switch and AC compressor
replaced mono heat valve
new battery
replaced all belts
replaced all hoses
completed valve adjustment
replaced all fuel filters (main,line,tank)
replaced all filters/fluids in differential and transmission.
flushed/replaced coolent (MB)
New Michelin tires/balanced

Oil/Oil filter and brake fluid replaced every 12 months or 3000 miles.

The car is Biscayne Blue (close to China blue) with Palomino MB tex. interior.
This was one of the most attractive color combinations offered in the 123 series.

The exterior paint and trim looks showroom with possibly a couple of tiny stone chips under the apron.
The interior is perfect. The driver/passenger seat were covered with sheepskin seat covers since new. No wear or fade. The woodwork, headliner and carpets are as new.
No accidents
No rust

Drives like new.

FWIIW, I currently own another 84 300D with 75K on the odometer that won best of class/ public favorite at my regional MB club gathering two years ago. My 1984 300D is a very nice car but does not come close to the condition of the 1983 I am selling.

If you are looking for a pristine original 300D with very low mileage with a detailed service history this is your car. I will have pictures available by 6/25/08.

Price: $24,750

Holy crap - it must be good. $25k has to be an asking record for a w123. I had a 1984 300TDT wagon with 58k miles on it, not an A+++ car but an A+ car. It set an dang-close-to ebay record of $16,700.

Yours must be showroom quality - perfect. I'd like to see pics just because I'd like to see pics. Good luck.
