OK then, since that is what you want to know

You're pretty clumsy in your approach, but everybody has to start some where. I am sure there are plenty of people around who like that particular car. Well then, why is the response not there? I'll tell you! It's location, location, location. You list no location for the car, neither is there a location in your signature. It costs way too much now days to transport a dead car. So, no location and rather fuzzy in detail, no mileage given, states manual but does not mention number of speeds. Time equals money is the old saying. People will not get involved in a deal like you propose unless they know, (or at least think you know) what you are talking about. I do think it is a wonderful little Benz, but I think it has to be bought at just over junkyard price. It is probably worth more in parts in its present condition then as a unit. So give an idea of the location at least. I would say that if you know what it can be bought for, add your profit to it and then say it sells for so much. Our Forum covers the world. You could be writing from overseas and nobody can really tell. But again, why should they spend the time with everything as indefinite and incomplete as you have written. It could very easily be that you are writing from Canada. And I am not far from Canada, but I would never try to import a car in that condition. I don't think I would get it out of Canada if it was free. But that is just in my thinking. Now, you were wondering why it doesn't start. Well, the distributor on the engine is just right of center, right up front behind the radiator. Bet that if you look under the rolled up hood on the passenger side you will see a completely smashed distributor. I'll bet that it will be easy to see.

Thankyou, and that is the way to do it.

Now I still can't see from the picture if the distributor is smashed. It is a little too dark for the camera to pick it up. Do you have a price on the car or does it have to go through the auction. Why don't you get it cheap and replace the sheet metal. Looks like it could be repaired quite easily. Junkyards are full of good sheet metal. Wow, with that 5 speed torqued by that 2.3 16 valve, what a little flyer that would be. If you didn't tromp it too hard, probably would give respectable mileage also. I would love to have it, but it is just too expensive to ship a dead car 1000 miles,--- but I might. Let me know how much.

its got to go through auction, 1000 miles is no problem, i'll whip it there in no time if you have serious interest
