I love those CLs, but the V12 engine seems like way too much for me to have to maintain. I think eight cylinders is enough for me. That's one schweeeet looking coupe, though!

I did a pre-purchase inspection once on a CL600, and the dealer told me it was in very nice condition, and the price to repair the defects they found was $8700. Gulp.

On the other hand, if you want the power of an Indy car, you have to pay the piper.

Fitting an SOHC m117 into a w201 is actually a lot more straightforward than it would seem, though many of the little details take time and thought. I will be very interested to see the details of this car (it's like my twin, but maybe w/ a 6.0L displacement if it is what it claims to be). Either way, I bet you will have a lot of fun w/ it!
