Selling my 87 300SDL on eBay

Guys,

With a fair amount of lament, I am selling my 87 300SDL on eBay.

The listing is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&_trkparms=tab%3DSelling&viewitem=&item=200247306486&_trksid=p3907.m32

This is a car I have taken impeccable care of (with a lot of help from you guys on this forum) and it is in remarkably good shape.

It really should go to a Shop Forum type of person. I am happy to discuss the car with anyone who is serious. I would really like to see this car go to someone who will love it the way I have.

I am selling the car because I have five kids and a demanding job and I just can't justify the time it takes to keep the car in top flight condition.

I have already replaced the car with a LS430, but there's no way to replace the rumble of a 603 turbo diesel under the hood. I considered replacing this car with a E300D or a W220 gas car, but in the end felt they would never measure up to my SDL... so I went for the ultimate reliability of the Lexus.

If anyone is interested pls let me know.

I was really impressed with that listing. Shows pride of ownership and good maintenance practices without making me ill with the verbiage. Somebody should feel very good about their purchase of that car.

People think Lexus has some magical reliability, but they are very complex and break too.....

I'd never own a Lexus....*shudder

That car is beautiful! I know it's got to be hard to part with it. I'd like to have an SDL, but I'm pretty "car poor" right now.

Good luck.

Awesome car

Where were you when I was SDL shopping! I would have snatched this car up in a heartbeat!

Tom - -don't let this one get away!

I noticed that you have the original paperwork, what was the sticker price?

No such thing as a perfect car. Lexus have a good reputation and many people have given great reviews of them. It has some nice styling and luxury items with the toyota electronics which is pretty good. Whenever Lexus has a problem with their cars the problem is investigated and corrected for good.

Hot sdl!

Man, that car invokes fond memories. If I didn't have 2 in College right now i'd snatch it up. You've taken great care of this car.
