Craigslist is frustrating, but sometimes the only way to sell something. You can get a lot of tire kickers who don't take a look under the hood, then notice that the door striker is scratched and offer you half price.

I think your description is more than great, and the car is obviously worth it- we're just all too cheap here despite the innumerable threads along the lines of "I wish I had bought one of these in good condition instead of a bargain (money pit)..."

You're very correct Uriah.

Sometimes it works out. I posted my 300D on there, had one person call about it, look at it and buy it at asking price.

I just recently drove Squash, and it is every bit as tight and crisp (perhaps even a bit better) as Ol' Turbo. The manual transmission is an absolute blast and the car has no difficulty getting up to speed in city traffic.

The next owner of this car will not be dissapointed.

Tyler, you're driving me to use one of your comments from post #15.

I really do wish I were in the position to take this off Jimmy's hands.

I could offer $3800 worth of Photoshop time and stained glass art.

Thank you Tyler for your un-compensated comments on Ol' Squash. Since I took the cover off to show him to you I have been driving him for all errands. I know I will rue the day...........
BTW, the comments were nice but I'm not sure he has anything on Ol' Turbo! Love the way the newer back seats kinda wrap around you. The back seat of a W123 is a very comfortable ride.....

The beloved Squash is being picked up this Saturday morning!
He was my first road worthy 240D [Scar actually was #1]. Who knows when another car worthy of a vegetable moniker will come along!
I will sorely miss the beautiful Sienna interior, my favorite part of the car. Now that I know how nice it is to have new door seals I fear I will want them on all my W123's, but man that gets expensive! Best running softest riding W123 I've ever been in. Dang, it just occurred to me that this is my only R12 car. Never really thought about that!
I think he is going to an excellent home and hope the new owner has a presence on this forum. I would love to see how he performs down the road. I was telling the new owner how I simply could never do the "buy and sell" thing on a large basis. I'm a nervous wreck wondering how the Squash will perform in the future!
I will wash him Friday and fill up the tank. Clock is ticking........

Congratulations. I know how you feel about the buy and sell thing with Norm... I'm still nervous.

Why is the first silver wagon not in the "Gone yet not forgotten" column?
