I'm looking for a w123 that needs a good, loving home. I want to start biodiesel production soon and Craigslist prices seem terribly inflated.

I'm not looking for a showroom-quality car; something that's a little beat up for the right price is what I'm looking for, particularly a 300d turbo.

I have an '85 300D, CA version with about 279K. The engine and transmission have been rebuilt; the engine has about 150K and the tranny has about 45K on it. I have the receipts for that work and a lot of other work as well.

The rear passenger door has some minor damage and there's a slight dent in the hood (you may be able to bang it out, I never tried). The AC doesn't work. There is no belt on the AC compressor, there never has been since I bought the car three years ago, and I've always assumed everything AC would need to be replaced. The antenna is not currently working. The paint job is original but still looks nice. The clear coat is intact. the car has run mostly on biodiesel for the last three years. It's never been used for WVO.

The front driver's seat is not in good shape but I do have a slightly better used seat that I haven't put in yet. The dash has two small cracks but nothing serious. The back seats look great. There are sheepskin seat covers but they're in worse shape than the seats!

This car will last a long, long time and it pains me to sell it, but I'm moving to a much colder climate in a few weeks and it just doesn't make sense for me to keep it anymore. I haven't put an ad out yet, but when I do my asking price will be $3,500. I actually looked at this thread to get an idea of what these cars are going for these days.
