I have a 75 450 sel for sale
The car is reliable, but earlier in the week the starter failed
New starters are anywhere from 100-150 dollars online, I just don't have the time to fix it
So if you're willing to get it towed to your house (I know someone who will do it for $50) it's yours for $1,000obo

Does a 75 with rear headrests mean Euro or 6.9 or both? That is a US 6.9 bumper, right?

Pilfered image attached has a filename that begins with 116125 which is a strange coincidence because I've been toying with the idea of dropping a 603 into a 75 or earlier 450SEL. 75 or earlier avoids California smog checks. If this is a Euro with fabric seats I'll be very tempted.

That is a 6.9 or at least an image of one. They have one big uniform ramming bumper.

The other W116's have the two bumperettes ahead of the mounting shocks.

The VIN should be 116 036 012 XXXXXX but it is probably a a gray market with a VERY low VIN number since only a handful were made in 75 and officially none in the US.

My guess is that it's a 75 Euro with 6.9 bumpers on it. They didn't mention the suspension and that's a BIG selling point.
