85 300 SD For Sale

Hello, I am selling my daily driver that I have owned for the last 2 years. I am looking to purchase a newer benz. It has 262K miles on it and is well maintained. Has some rust on it as you can see in the pics.
The a/c does not work. The compressor is shot so I removed the belt. The heat works as it should, I replaced the ccu last winter with a used one. Starts right up in any weather. Its been a great daily driver for me since the day I bought it about 2 years ago.
Recent problems: I replaced the brakeline running from the adapter (under the driver seat) to the distributer in the rear because the old one was rusted and leaking slightly. After that work, the pedal was spongy so I replaced the master cylinder with a rebuilt one. Now I have a hard pedal. I am still tackling this issue and hope to have it sorted out before it sells, if not the price would drop. Also, I just discovered 2 days ago the motor doesnt turn off with the key. I have to turn it off under the hood. Gonna start investigating that tonight.
I am located about 20 miles southwest of dowtown Chicago. I am asking $1500 or best reasonable offer. After these issues are taken care of I believe this car will make a great daily driver for someone. Thanks for looking. Jim 773 457 2457

Thanks for looking Helplease. According to receipts from the first owner, the trans was replaced in August of 2004. Also new radiator in April of 2005. Rear fuel lines replaced in sept. 2004. Looks like new front and rear rotors, pads, etc at the same time the trans was replaced. Several other smaller service items in the last 4 years. It looks like the first owner took good care of it, as did my buddy who owned it for 1 1/2 years and then me.
The jackpoints are a bit rusty but are still solid. Its dark out now and about 30 below wind chill otherwise I could snap some pics of them. I could get some pics possibly tomorrow if you would like. Jim
