1990 300SL Washington, DC $3000 OBO
My Mom is looking to sell her 1990 SL and get into something newer. The car is located in Washington, DC and has about 168k miles on it. I don't have any pictures of it right now but I'll put some up tomorrow. This could be a good project car. The seats are torn. Antenna mast and gasket need to be replaced and there are some issues with the remote door unlocking feature. This car was recently diagnosed with crack cylinder head and we probably would not get much from a dealer. Make an offer if you are interested. I am also looking to sell my 300SD as I recently purchased a new car. Thanks.

Thats a beautiful car. My uncle has a 1992 300SE with the same engine and he just had to get a new headgasket replaced. These are otherwise excellent engines.

The car is driveable. It has been sitting for a while and the battery has lost its charge put it will fire right up when jumped.

The car has a crack head gasket meaning that the seal that connects the bottom and lower halves of the engine is damaged. It takes a lot of work to replace but the car doesn't necessarily need an engine replacement.

I don't think there is any water in the oil. There definitely isn't any oil in the coolant. If anyone is interested I will be available all weekend to show the cars. Thanks
