Aaron, drove a W116 S class (280SE with 4 or maybe 5 spd) in Germany 30+ years ago. What a blast getting that big sucker up to autobahn speed through the gears. The straight six would rev and like it. I think that's what got me hooked to the manual trans Benz's, any class. I've got a complete 5 spd setup waiting for when my mom stops driving and I get the 95 w/M104 back My wife doesn't understand that her wagon needs to be lowered and have a 5 spd.

This car is still available. I have not pursued selling it as I hate to see it go. I am willing to take a significant loss on the car as it has been hit on the right rear quarter panel where the tail lamp is. The damage is not very bad, but busted the light and will require some body work. I will consider any reasonable offer. Asking price is 1800.00 as is. The a/c is ice cold as well and functions as it should. I can get pics if desired.

I had one some years back. Mine was an 1986 grey market car with the same 4-speed manual as yours and similar options. Silver with blue velour interior (which was trashed). Drove great - a world of difference from the 280se automatics. Sold it to a guy in Rhode Island who found it here on the forum. Just thought I'd share.....
