My '83 300CD ROADSTER is for sale...

I am getting mobilized and have to thin the herd.

The weather is warming up, anyone looking for a really fun car to drive?! I love cruising town in it as it gets a few looks, but it generally just puts a smile on my face.

The roof was cut off by the previous owner, who then primered the car and fiberglassed in the rear deck and windshield frame so there's no jagged metal.

The cassette deck works, but I use my iPod (with XM adapter) when cruising. It's got 6x9's in the rear deck so the sound is nice. The car is now flat black with blacked out headlight doors and grill plastic.

The Chrome AMG 17's will either go with the car or are available separately for $350. (The AMG's have been sold)

I'm asking $1400 for the car or $1200 with some 14's slapped on it.

The front seats are still in very good shape, but the sun on the top of the back seat has caused it to split. The rear windows don't work, but the fronts do...but I leave them down as there's no need for them. There is only one tiny crack in the dash, and very little rust on the frame. Bracing was added to the frame so that it doesn't flex over bumps.

Please let me know if anyone is interested as I don't want to have to pay for storage for a year when someone can be driving it and having fun.

Not the small crack at the front side of the passenger speaker cover and the small crack (1" long) at the rear edge of the right rear corner of the cluster bulge.

Front seats are quite comfortable, but the rear needs to be reskinned.

Please, if you are not interested in the car, start your own thread if you want to make fun of it or bad mouth it.

I'm not going to bust your butt on this as
I was looking at it to before you got it.

I am not able, at this time, to get it, but
I sure would like to see some close up shots
of the body work done to the areas where the
roof was cut off,
Also, and I know it would be a stretch, but any
chance on some pics of the re enforcement underneth?

I'll have pics today as I need to get the car onto concrete to pull the wheels off to ship them...

Never got those pics taken...but working on getting them still. The car has to go as I will no longer have a place to store it.

What AMG 17s? The wheels in the first pic look like the optional 16 inch lightweight wheels from the late-'90s CLK, presumably with some fat spacers behind them since they're the wrong offset for a 123.

he bought some chrome 17" AMG wheels for it but never put them on it(I was there when he picked them up, eagle is out of country so pics of them wont happen as easily)

the CLK's were on it and they have spacers but not mega fat... Guessing James the CLKs are probably sold already and the roadster goes out with the bundts that it came with.

The AMG 17's were in fact on the car but they were sold separately. I delete pics of things I've sold from my photobucket account to keep the size down.

The CLK 16's needed no spacers in the rear, and I used 5mm spacers up front. They looked awesome...but again, they have been sold.

I have put a set of 14" bundts with BRAND NEW tires on the car now, so they'll last for years without a doubt.

Can you post some pics of where the body work was done?
