AMG?
Came across this. I've never heard of a true AMG 300CE before.

I would get rid of those smoked head and brake lights asap!!
Wouldn't an AMG of the CE era have an airbag-AMG steering wheel? I'm no expert, but it seems counter productive

Back in the day AMG was a tuner, just like Dinan, RennTech, etc are today. So they built lots of parts, and then had their own shops in the USA and a network of authorized installers that could buy/build as well.
Plus they sold parts to non-authorized shops. The most valuable cars are the ones where AMG themselves did the build and it can be proven. I have a of couple of those. Next most valuable are cars with lots of period-correct AMG parts, or rare parts like widebody fenders, engines with AMG work done to them, etc. This car has the wrong trunk badge, but the rest of the AMG gear on it looks correct. It does not look pristine to me from the photos, but that can just be due to bad photos. I don't really see the "widebody" part of it though, am I missing something? The wheels are not widebody wheels, the front fenders are standard, and the rear quarters do not seem to stick out more than stock. Maybe it's just the larger rear wheel arches? Anyhow, interesting car, nice shot of the three AMG cars in one of the photos. Bruce |

It belongs to a member on Benzworld who used to own the other two AMG cars pictured with it, both now owned by other BW members.

The car seems to be real as far as the body kit, suspension, and wheels. It doesn't have any engine mods, and the interior shots shown on BenzWorld are fantastic. I too don't care for the headlights, the taillights, and the improper ///AMG badge.
