1994 E320 Cabriolet

Ladies and gents, due to an upcoming move, I am selling my E320 Cab. She's got about 106k on her, and is in very good shape. All stock, except for recently upgraded audio gear - Alpine head unit and amp, Pioneer speakers, all professionally installed by a good local shop due to lack of time. I still have the original Benz head unit and CD changer as well.

As I said, the car is in very good/excellent shape. The only issue I know about is the droopy headliner referenced in this post: 1994 E320 Cabriolet: droopy headliner Other than that, she's real nice. Very reliable, solid, strong, etc. Top is in excellent shape, interior as well.

Pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/surjgish/sets/72157619433621088/ - these are from a few months ago, but the condition hasn't changed. I'll be working on doing a recent, more detailed photo shoot in the next few days.

Car is in Sacramento, CA. I work in the Bay Area, so can meet up there with the car with a day or two advance notice - I generally ride my motorcycle to work. Let me know if you have questions, I'd be glad to jump on the phone.

Asking $10,500.

I believe the color is called graphite metallic, but not sure. It's a dark metallic gray. You can see it in the pictures at the link above. Interior is black leather, in excellent condition. Wood is in very good shape, with one exception. There's a line that looks like a crack in the thin strip to the right of the shifter. I've had the piece out, and it doesn't go through, so maybe it's just a surface scratch, not sure.

Do you know when/how many miles ago, the following was last replaced:

1) evaporator
2) engine wiring harness
3) starter wiring harness
4) head-gasket

Does she have ASR ?

I'll have to check the records this evening. I have some, but not all of them. I'm not sure on 1 and 3. I asked about the engine harness when I got the car, and to the previous owner's knowledge, it has not been changed. If I recall correctly, the head gasket has not been changed either, but I'll check on that. There's no evidence of leaks, and the car runs cool.

I don't think the car has ASR, but I could be wrong. Pardon my ignorance on this one.

Thats cool ! go MBZ !

(free bump for one of the few W124 droptops around, I'd rock it if I had close to that much money...)

Neil,
sorry I haven't answered your question completely yet. I've hardly been home the past few days. I'll get the rest of the info tonight.

Also, I've dropped the price I'm advertising her at to $9,900 - I need to get her sold soon.

OK, so according to the partial records I have, the evap and starter harness haven't been replaced. Last "major" maintenance (other than oil changes, etc) included some electrical diagnostics - replaced convenience relay, new battery and air filter. The previous owner also told me he had just replaced the wiper motor, but I don't see the receipt for that.

Just had the droopy headliner fixed today. She's going on eBay tonight if I can stay awake late enough to get to it (busy, busy) so if anyone's interested, now is the time! This is a sweet Cab, imagine yourself riding around in this for the rest of the summer...

I finally got around to putting her on eBay. For those of you who are interested in watching the auction, to see what these are going for, it's at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250473357564&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMESELX%3AIT#ht_517wt_1217

Saw the auction, and was sad to see the difference in what the market spoke and the asking price, as I feel the cars are special and worth quite a bit more. I wil be in SF next week. Will you be bringing the car to SF, and if so have you thought about reevaluating the asking price? I WILL be in SF downtown this week.with immediate funds for the right car. If you wish to contact me please do so @ g50carerra@hotmail.com
Thank you.

Sorry, ended up selling her locally, so I ended the auction early. For reference, sale price was $9500.

glad you got her sold, and for a market correct price. Wish you could have waited a week for me to have a look, but no worries. The market on these cars is where it should be and the economy seems to have no effect on well kept cars. Thanks for the update. Wish me luck on my search.
