For Sale: 1989 300 SE. I bought this car in 2004 for $5000. and have slowly spent over $20,000. restoring it. It is charcoal with grey interior and it has just about 158,000 miles on it. I've only put 8,000 miles on it since I've owned it. The car is one of the nicest examples of a 126 S class I've ever seen. I have rebuilt or replaced nearly everything on the car including a valve job, timimg chain, chrome, chrome wheels, air conditioner compressor, tires, and even new seats. The car is completely stock except for a new radio/cd/ipod player and I still have the original radio. I think it is one of the classiest benz ever made and I hate to sell it, but I'm moving and I lost my garage. I know I spent way too much money on the restoration but I never realized I was putting that much into it until I added it all up. I also know that these cars are selling for practically nothing but this car is Very close to show room condition. I have many photos of the car and I have kept a list of all work and parts I've put into it. The car is located in Butler Pa., and an active member of the forum and friend, Pete Geither, did most of the work on my car. I'm asking $18,000 for it. Please contact me through the forum.
