So, for 8 grand, we get pics that show nothing and an expired Craigslist posting. Fantastic. Let me guess, your first three posts in the last three years were to sell cars too.

If this car is really what you say it is, and you can present it well on Ebay, you could probably get $9k for it. There was a black one in Las Vegas with similar miles that sold for over $9k. (Several times, actually )

Was the rest of the car visible?
What's sad about this, is a PNW car that's been garaged is likely to have no rust and no, or little fading. If it's never been in an accident it might be a good car. If the rain can't find a way in, the car wont rust. In extreme heat sometimes the undercoat cracks, but in Seattle it's frequently intact on cars over 30 years old. None of our Mercedes, VW, or Audis developed rust up there, and even our Fiat had only minor rust at 200k miles. I kept my 300SD till it had 120k miles on it and my Mom kept hers till nearly 190k and our instrument needles were still the same lovely pumpkin color as when they were new. I've only seen that on PNW or very low mileage cars imported from Japan. The only drawback to the climate (from the viewpoint of the car) is the road grime you pick up if you do a lot of freeway driving. You have to wash your car much more often up there, so cars often have dull looking paint by the time they're 10 years old. I hate faded interiors, but they're almost impossible to find in Utah, AZ or So. Cal. I have a friend in Seattle who has a 67 Lincoln Continental and a 65 Maserati that still have their original paint. Of course, neither one has reached 100k miles yet. The Maser spends a lot of time out in summer, but never gets driven in rain.

I'm relatively new to this site, but this is really comical!
Even the website link where the car is now posted for um....a lot less?! Funny. People. People are ..."Funny". LOL As if we are all incapsulated right here at this website, far, far ,far away from any other sites, or the world in general, right? (just an assumption from an "innocent on-looker" (For a lack of better words) Bravo! Carry on ___----____------____ |

Yeah... the 300SDL's command high prices. I wish my instrument cluster was that nice.

And the seats look like they did when the car was still young. Most of the ones I've seen lately have lost some of their plumpness and tailored look. There's also, what appears to be, a nice 500SEL for sale on Ebay in the Seattle area.
Has anyone seen the beautiful 500SEL Ronan posted on his blog? (Ran when parked, Blog) It was traded in on CFC. I don't keep up with gasser values, but to me it looks like it should be worth much more than $4500. It's smoke silver with brown leather, which is one of my favorite w126 color combinations. The first 500SEC I rode in had the same combination. I wanted it so bad, I dreamed about it for months.
