1984 300D TX car in MI

I am moving back to Dallas and need to sell me beloved 300D. Its a 1984 European Delivery Program vehicle that spent its whole life in Dallas until I moved to Michigan a year and a half ago. It has NEVER been driven in snow, I drove another vehicle last winter. 277k miles and runs like a tank. I have put a lot of work into it since I bought it (most recently vacuum pump and brake master cylinder) It has 2 newer tires. Not in perfect shape (has some minor cosmetic issues such as a tear in the drivers seat, paint fade on the sunroof, and one of the wood interior panels needs to be re-adhered,) but a great condition vehicle. looks great, drives perfectly. It gets complimented almost daily, as all the other 300d's around here are rust buckets.

I am asking $2,500 obo. Call anytime if you have any questions or comments (231)944-0041. Leave a message if I dont answer. My name is Kevin and the car is located in Traverse City, MI.

I'm hoping you accidentally to parked it over that oil spill, rather than the car creating it during the photo shoot.

What kind of service history do you have on it? Receipts? Any under-hood pics?

Looks more like it was recently washed and dripping from both bumpers, not oil.

Indeed, that does appear to be the case.

Not sure how this guy intends to sell this car.....he says to "call him" but gives no phone number......and he has not visited the forum since he posted this thread. Interesting.

I even tried e-mailing him 2 days ago on his craigslist ad, no response.

Is it necessary to go up to Traverse City and find him?

Then again, there's other cars out there.....

Hey guys, sorry for the delay. I don't have internet at home (have to go to the library for internet) and have had a busy week.

In those pics I had just washed it and didn't dry it. I drove it to a nearby parking lot and it drip-dried while I took those pics. I will take some underhood shots when I get home and post them up tomorrow.

As far as service history goes, I've got all the receipts since I have owned it (bought it in May of '08) and some little receipts from the previous owner (tires, etc.) I have put a lot of work into the car myself and have parts receipts for most.

I can't believe I forgot to put my number when I listed it haha
My cell is (231) 944-0041, that's the best way to get ahold of me.

I will check back tomorrow afternoon.

I put a few underhood pics on the photobucket. Keep in mind that the car is dirty. Steve Kreger saw the car when I first bought it and helped me fix it up a bit.

At 277K, if it hasn't had one, it's about due for an auto tranny rebuild....unless you have some documents that show this work already.

Indeed. Though some go much longer with no issues....my dad's SD has 320k on the original trans and it still works fine.

Mine blew at 281k.....its a roll of the dice.

The previous owner of the car claims that the transmission was in fact rebuilt. I don't have any proof of this though, so I can only go by their word.

I am the second owner of this vehicle.
