Windsor (northern California) Pick and Pull has the following Mercedes in their "cars for sale" section for $1188:

1972 230 4-cyl w/2 carburetors & manual transmission, 4-door sedan
Light green exterior, tan interior, seat covers are vinyl with cloth centers, the rears are somewhat torn
Paint is faded but probably could be polished out and not look half bad
A few small dings and dents but I did not see any serious damage
Battery and alternator look new, employee says car runs
Grille and star look complete and undamaged
Hubcaps missing
No trunk mat
Manual windows
Factory radio
No sunroof
No serious rust, probably a local car, looks restorable
I assume this is an entry-level model and not particularly desirable but wanted to list it anyway just in case someone was interested

I have no connection to this business, just happened to see the car while shopping for W124 parts (several "new" 320E's from the CARS program just arrived).
