1989 420SEL Tons of new parts! 3K invested
420SEL is in great shape! Smoked Sliver with dark brown interior. 172K miles. The car starts with NO problems and runs great! I have owned it for a little over a year now and have had a LOT of mechanical work done to it. I have all of the service records that document the work that has been done. Some of the work that has been done include:
Brand NEW brake pads and rotors Brand new ball joints Sub-Frame Bushings Replaced brake calipers Front Idle Arm Rear Sway Bars Middle(Resonator) and Rear Mufflers All of the Belts Oil and Filter Transmission flushed/filter changed and E.H.A Valve was replaced The radio has been replaced with a JVC head unit. I kept the old Becker unit but I am not sure if it will work. Everything works for the most part considering the age and mileage. The climate controls work including the AC. The powerseats work fine as do ALL of the windows up and down. There are only a few issues with the car. The fuel gauge does not always work. Common for Mercedes. The sunroof motor works just fine however the arm on the passenger side is stuck/or broken so the roof wont open the way it should. The tires will need to be replaced soon. Lastly the transmission slips. It drives just fine and has no problem accelerating. The only rust that I can find is on the chrome on the front bumper. The body is in average shape. The rims need to be repainted. Basically the car needs a little bit of cosmetic work but runs great. Asking 2500. I have to sell it to purchase a new car so I am very willing to make a deal.
