WTB: 123 300tdt engine (wagon)

Looking for a engine for my 1983 wagon. If anyone has a whole parts car I will also consider it. I'm in the northwest Arkansas, northeast oklahoma, southwest missouri, southeast kansas area. Thanks.

Youll want the pump on the front of the motor for the sls system I suppose. A wagon motor is going to be rare,to find a donor car were you can tow the whole car home would probably be more viable .Test the compression if the motor turns over freely ,you can get the compression tester at Harbor frieght for a little over $20..Id keep a look out hear ,jaxed .com ,then mash will get you to a search engine for your state.

I don't know where you are located, but someone over on the diesel discussion spotted two wagons with engines in the junkyard.

Pulled a tail light off a wagon today ,1983 300td with a good motor. After looking at this mans collection of 10 older mbs I would say hes got the bug bad, 3 or 4 parts cars are all amongst his collection.I earned that lens with a $40 price tag and a 100 mile road trip.Man Im a sucker but that lens was a hard to find piece.

I don't live in NW AR anymore but I remember seeing a bunch of w123 Mercedes over in Eureka Springs. I think they were sitting in someones yard/woods on S. Main/Rt. 23... I think there were a couple of wagons there too. Last went by them in '06 so my memory is a little rusty Are you in Garfield?

Garfieldlc, I doubt we have met. I lived in Bella Vista for a couple of years but did not have a diesel at that time, just an E320. I think I only met one diesel MB guy while I lived there and he was from MO. I had a heck of a time trying to find any MB diesels out that way for sale so I ended up settling with the E320.

Hogweed, I sure wouldn't mind going back to AR if I had the time! I've had it with the weather out here! Unfortunately I think it will be a good 3-4 years before I get back out there....
