You're starting to remind me of my grandfather (huge compliment by the way) as he was a CEO for Sentry insurance, and an F.S.A. If you've got a good feeling on something, give me a heads up and I'll pass it along to granddad. He jumped into gold when it was down around 800 or so an ounce a while back. Talk about a quick profit.

The only decent investment I've made so far (based on return) was on Penn-Virginia around '05. They were around 25 or so per share (if memory serves correct) and I sold in '06 when they hit 36 dollars per share. I was 18, and I had to have my grandad show me how to do everything. Don't look at their earnings per share right now though, its painful.

I can only say this......if I were to have put 100% of my liquid assets into Berkshire in 1985, I would have a net worth many times greater than it is today. I'm certainly not hurting - however the difference is sizeable nonetheless. With any luck - I'll never spend it all anyway - it'll be passed on to my heirs, tax free.
