Sell or trade '72 280SE W108 M130

Well the wife & I were talking and she needs a car to just drive around town. In order for that to happen either the Mercedes has to go or the Alfa Romeo has to go. I could just get her a Honda or something like that but hey what's the fun in that. I'm thinking of something like a Citroen 2CV, a Triumph Harold, or maybe a Nash Metro. Anybody want to trade?

The wife is partially disabled so it's tough for her to drive the Benz and the Alfa is too low making entry and exit tough on her.

The Benz is a '72 280SE. The body is straight with no evidence of any collision damage. The paint is shinny but does have it's flaws. The chrome is in great shape. All of the glass is in good shape. All of the electric windows work. The A/C works, the heater blower motor dosen't not run, don't know why yet. The interior is original MBtex and is in great shape carpets are also in great shape. It doesn't leave oil spots on the driveway and the odo indicates 51,000 miles< but it dosen't work.

It has 4 new tires on Bundt wheels, Pertronix ignition conversion, new rear calipers, rotors, & pads. The heater controls have replacement levers. New radio with 4 new speakers. The injectors have been cleaned and pop tested. There is one that is marginal but will be replaced this weekend with a new injector. It has a new "proper" Bosch electric fuel pump, and the gas tank has been restored including a new tank sending unit. New front engine mounts that will be installed this week. New fan clutch. The entire exhaust system is new including new chrome tips. All new tierods & relay rod.

Have 2 new brake flex hoses and pads for the front and new stainless sill plates for the door openings.

All in all this is a nice driving car. Asking $5900.00.

The '82 Alfa Spider is also available if there is any interest.

The pics below were taken before I put on the Bundt wheels and new tires.

Send me a PM or call eves @ 601-867-3639.

Nice one. Do you still have the original hubcaps and is that paint original?
