1995 E300D

I used to lurk on here to get advice & appreciate all the info I gleaned.

Based on what I read, six years ago I bought a 1995 E300D on ebay. I needed a low cost, good looking car to get through my last child's college education. I kept it long enough to pay for two weddings as well. Two weeks ago I bought an 07 BMW, so it is time for the Benz to go.

It is now for sale on ebay: auction # 320512436076.

If anyone on here is interested, I'm glad to provide inspection or test drive. If you want someone else on here who lives closer to drive it for you, that is great. I've been as candid about the condition as I can be. I think if you see and drive it, you will be impressed. I've used two local mechanics exclusively: one for oil change and simple maintenance - one for Mercedes or diesel specific repairs. All major repairs have receipts.

Mileage today is 170,600+ and I don't anticipate more than another 100 before the end of the auction. If you have questions, just ask. For everyone's protection, it is only for sale through ebay.

Added: 4/13 _ back up for sale due to non paying Buy it Now.

Sellers should really add links. I'm just sayin'.....
Love the car. I'm so very happy with mine. I'm just starting to see a bit of a drop in the headliner too at the back of the sunroof. I better deal with that quickly.
Good luck! Folks would love this model of Mercedes. And I hope you get your price. Even though I'm not likely to EVER sell mine, it's always good to see similar cars sell for a premium.....

Thanks for adding the link.

I really have appreciated info from this site during the past six years.

My .02 on this model - the wiring harness was critical. I believe a couple of problems I had over the years actually had their source in the harness. Once that was repaired, this car has had minimal annual repairs.

My wife drove it last week and asked, "now why are we selling it."

Nice car, great ebay ad, and good luck with sale.

As a guy that sells a lot of cars, though, don't limit yourself to ebay only. If someone legit makes you a real offer that you can live with, sell it. No point in turning down a real buyer. I get lots of people whose friends told them about my cars on ebay, but they're just not ebay people, no paypal account, etc etc.

But they are legit buyers. I can see not wanting to deal with the Nigerian scammers and work-at-home emails on craigslist, but posting here, on benzworld, mbca, etc and see what happens.

Nice car, sorry to hear you're trading down ;~)

I noticed that your car is a special edition, makes it a bit unusual, but what's really unusual on your car is the leather interior, if I was in the market I'd pay a premium for your colors and interior. Might mention that it is a hard-to-find interior.

Oooooh, this is a special edition model.

What I like about these models is not the special edition 6 hole wheels or the special edition stainless steel sill covers, but the burl wood interior.

Hmmm, is the leather interior really that rare?
My title indicates that mine is a Special Edition, but it does not have the stainless sill plates or the 6 hole wheels (thank goodness, I like the 8 hole for some reason). I guess maybe title-wise they all say Special Edition. Oh dear, I may have a rogue special edition......
