Strange, same model car the guy that backed out of buying my 280C was going to buy. Didn't think there were 2 230CE Euro manuals in the DC area.

That cruise control switch looks like an aftermarket add on. Can anyone verify that?

The manual tranny cars didn't come with cruise - so they were added aftermarket.

the euro 4 cyl.s were putting out 134 hp and about 150lbs of torque. is that car so light and small that it would actually be somewhat peppy?

Not so cool

Looks like there is no a/c. It would be a fun 3/4 year car.

Yes, somewhat but you still won't win any races. I would love to find a nice w123 230 E or CE. Engines are reliable and long-lasting, and fuel economy is better than the 280 while not losing too much performance.

If I had more time or money I would consider buying that and installing my 290e euro motor in it from my ex autocross car.

I see a condenser and an aux fan. Also has a temp wheel near top of dash. I think the AC lines are just routed a bit differently, probably also with a Sanden compressor....

I was told that it was a "one family car."

Theirs an owner of a red coupe ,just like this one ,in Houston .Ive already asked if he would sale .Its a real clean ride in every detail ,mint in my opinion .I asked about the fuel economy and he says on average its around 18 mpg.I was surprised ,I thought maybe closer to what a diesel would get with one less cylinder to feed and a lighter car.

Cool car. They are somewhat peppy. I had an '85 230ce 4 speed a while back and it was a pleasure to drive. Still kicking myself for selling....
