Its never been painted...An area on the roof and a couple spots here and there need attention if your looking to restore the finish...

The projector head light light setup is great for night visibility, a little extra safety doesnt hurt...

I don't think I've ever seen a W124 in that color before...is that light Ivory??

Looks like it IS in fact Light Ivory...so he's telling the truth about it being the original color at least.

Thanks for identifying the color. People have called it pearl, off white, antique white, and even yolk!

My '91 TE was light ivory, very classy color IMO.

is the taxis color in germany...
The colour is set by law: "Hellelfenbein, RAL 1015" (light ivory).
You can simulate the colour on your computer with RGB FFF8C9 (255 248 201).

I believe that the old ivory is the taxi color (more of a butter-cream-yellow), not light ivory (but it's been a while so??).
