This TD has served us well for several years now as a diaper wagon for the wife. She recently went back to work with a long commute and I purchased a 87 300D for her. This car has some issues, previous owner rear ended someone and got some really shoddy replacement hood/quarter panels. AC/heat works, SLS works, radio, windows and sunroof all work. Front brake calipers, rotors and pads were all replaced by me shortly after we bought it. SLS accumulators are also new. Compared to most W123 diesels this thing is a rocket. Other than body work currently glowplug light is not coming on (will fix for sale) and rear brake pads need replacing (will fix for sale). Come on and join the cheap wagon club (I joined the "Cheap Wagon Club" officially today. 1981 300TD). This car has the much sought after 3rd row seats and 60/40 split rear. You can really pack alot of stuff in this car, it is mind boggling sometimes. Front seat rolls all the way back and rear seat bottoms can be removed to allow for quite a large number of 2x4's (or skis but hey this is georgia). A number of fellow 300TD owners use their wagon for road trips for music gigs, taking all their equipment with them.

I also have various TD only parts including 2? rear quarter windows and some other odds and ends. Also have the rubber bits for the surrounds on the front bumper.

Are the panels themselves beaten up, or are they just poorly installed/aligned?

They were already bondoed when the PO pulled them from the junk yard.

Is there rust on the car?

Some spot rust in the normal places. Rear TD quarter window corner. I had a pic of the jackholes I didnt post. They are pretty good. Southern car the most rust they usually see is at the battery.
