Looking for 617 turbo motor in Atlanta area
Just what the title says. Good running engine, little blowback, low mileage not essential but preferred. Using as possible transplant into '79 300sd. Let me know what you got.

It's been sparse on CL for some time. I haven't seen an engine only for quite some time. I might hit the junkyards this weekend.

There's three OM617 turbos in the yard at Pick A Part North. One has the ALDA ripped off so there would possibly be two viable motors although i didn't have any way of checking of course.

617 Motor in Ohio
I have a 617.95x turbo motor that was completely rebuilt. Pistons, bearings, rings... head... everything. Put it back in my son's car (83 300SD) & he got rear-ended & totalled car after about 390 miles. It is on an engine stand waiting for a new home. The only thing you would have to do is to time the injection pump.
