I am unofficially looking for a V8 Mercedes. Any year/body is of interest to me. I want something that runs and drives fairly well. I am ok with minorish repairs needing done. One thing that bugs me is a car that has body damage... I can never seem to look past that. Now for the wishful thinking part... $1500ish. I don't mind a road trip.

I have read that a US spec 380sel/sec is a lost cause power wise. Please let me know if I am wrong.

I have never handled a 380 before, so I wouldn't be able to debunk that. however, I have also heard that from many people including my mechanic. well there is also a nice 500sec euro with a zender kit on it . I'll keep my eye open for ya
